( Dubai , UAE) In a recent visit to Victory Teams head quarters located on the out skirts of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, along with other visiting VIP’s, was guided through the teams impressive facilities. Guiding the tour were 3 time Class 1 World Champion, Mr. Saeed H. Al-Tayer and Mr. Saeed Hareb, Managing Director for Dubai International Marine Club. The afternoons visit included a tour of the team’s state of the art lamination and fabrication department, boat rigging bays, engine building and testing and then, as a final piece de la resistance- an exhilarating introduction to life in the fast lane in the latest edition to their nautical fleet- the Victory Fountain 42 foot Lightening boat.

Taking the prototype Victory Fountain boat through its paces on the Arabian waters, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was delighted with the performance, not to mention the staggering 81 mph that he clocked.

Asked on his impressions of the team’s headquarters, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum commented. “Every thing is amazing. Victory Team are by far the best team that I have seen in the world.” adding. “The team members work hard, the facilities are excellent and of course, the drivers are the very best that there is.”

An acknowledged endurance rider and one of the UAE’s most notable sportsmen, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the current FEI World Junior Champion in endurance racing having clinched the title on his horse Alrika. And although he is unlikely to forgo his first calling as an equestrian sportsman, he admits to a temptation to horse power on the water. “I love Victory. My first sport is with horses; however, I want to have Victory in the sea.”

In a move that sees the Dubai team strengthen their development as a commercial entity, the partnering alliance between notable American boat suppliers, Fountain Powerboats International and Victory Team will see the team with the licensing rights to begin production. “I think that it is a very good move for Victory Team to go commercial. In fact, it is my belief is that it will be the biggest company in Dubai.”

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has every intention of supporting the boys in blue and will attend the conclusion of the Class 1 season in December. For the upcoming races, he has a personal message for the team members and their stable of stars. “I wish them every success and all the best of luck. I will most definitely be supporting them.” And as a strong contender in the upcoming FEI World Junior Championship, the Dubai team will also, no doubt be cheering His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on to his own Victory.
